After eating some yummy food!
Month four has been the most eventful yet! Between moving twice, traveling for Christmas, and New Years, and our first ear infection Presley has really done it all. She has even mastered falling asleep just about anywhere. The poor girl was all over the place the crib, floor, swing, a pack n' play that had been moved to different rooms and homes multiple times, and even falling asleep while children play on the piano and scream! I have to say she was a trooper.
For Christmas she was spoiled rotten with gifts from all the family, and I'm a bad mommy for not having my camera charged for most of the events.
First flight pictures!

Eye Color: still very blueHair Color: Light brown with strawberry blond
New tricks: Trying hard to turn over, she's now on a four hour eating routine..praise the Lord, loves her toys that she can pick up and move, and LOVES to talk. This girl is going to be Chatty Kathy in the classroom for sure. We don't know what she's saying but she's loves saying it.
Fun things we did: We stopped to take picture at the Alamo, had her first flight, took a few licks of a sucker...thanks Mimi, opened lots of gifts for Christmas, met her great grandmother, and now sleeps in her very own crib in her very own room!!
Can't see her, but she was there!
Not so fun things: Had her first ear infection. Thank you soooo much Big for driving us to the med clinic that's a hour from the lake house, being willing to wait two hours in the parking lot during the appointment, being willing to wait another 30 minutes while the prescription was filled, and then driving us an hour back to the lake house. I know that was not the plan for the day:)
When we left San Antonio we knew we would be living at Adam's parents lake house for a few weeks. It was the best living we have ever had! Morning sunrise on the water, Maverick could run and swim all day, Big A and Neenie cooked fantastic meals for us pretty much every day and we had time to just relax and be a family before the big move. On Jan.2 Mom and I caught a flight to Durham and Adam started his very long 21 hour drive with Mav dog. I was so nervous about me having THAT kid on the flight, but she really did fantastic. So much that she got a compliment from another passenger. When we landed we waited to be the last off so we could get a pic of Presley with the pilot. He seemed a little nervous holding her, but we didn't care. We were too excited to capture the moment. Once we landed some of Adam's friends from Lubbock that now live there picked us up and dropped us off at our new home. I was sooo glad my mom was with me. It would have been a very lonely night without her. The next day we got to work. My amazing mother painted EVERY wall in my home. It took us three days to paint. I don't ever EVER want to paint again! I'm sure she doesn't either. After mom left we started plucking away at unpacking boxes. A contractor is in the works to repaint the exterior of the home, and put new floors down. I can't wait for it to all be done! I'll post before and after pics next month.
I really think we are going to love it here. So far we've been on a few walks in the neighborhood and have see a ton of families playing outside and walking on the trails. Mav went on his first NC swim and loves his new friend Ally. Now if we could just get all of our friends and family to move here, it would then be perfect!! Oh and help the poor people here know how much we support our Texas Rangers. I've had three people in the grocery stores tell me that I really need to pick between Duke and UNC "BASKETBALL" hat, and ditch the baseball. I love me world series Rangers hat so no! And if they aren't careful we just might fly a Texas and Texas Tech flag outside our house too!
